About us

Awakening Journey combines the psychodynamic approach to therapy, with the ancient art of plant medicines, and the magic of nature to explore the subconscious to get to the roots of defences, habits and destructive patterns that don’t serve us anymore. We are facilitating these experiences and processes in collaboration with Pachamama Forest Retreat. Pachamama is a regenerative forestry project, healing and living centre. Pachamama Project NPC is developing innovative ecosystem restoration models, climate mitigation and adaptation strategies. These systems are designed to be holistic, circular and regenerative.

After 30 years as a clinical psychologist in private practice, I started to combine psychological understanding with plant medicine wisdom. I found this combination to be both life affirming and deeply healing.

I experienced that only through expanded states of consciousness, can we heal deep rooted trauma, especially pre-verbal trauma. Expanded states of consciousness are not enough on its own though. We need to bring psychological insight to support the integration of these experiences into daily life in a practical way.

This work is best done in a natural setting, drawing on various techniques and experiences to awaken and expand the soul for maximum healing and growth.

After my studies in applied psychology, exploring meditation and various plant medicine applications, I joined Abraham the past four years in facilitating numerous plant medicine ceremonies.

Subconscious patterns (and modalities to change them) have been a theme that fascinated me throughout my life. I witnessed in my own life how a change in perspective and inward shifts can affect my reality and situation on the outside.

I also have a special interest in the healing qualities of breathwork and music, especially during therapeutic ceremonies. I use music, and creative movement to facilitate healing and the awakening of people’s individual expression.

Through observation, I have found nature to be a great teacher that speaks through many modalities, like wholesome nourishing food, plant medicines, movement and stillness.
